TrueWealth: Dr. Michael Kendzia talks about Financial Literacy

The economist and head of the BSc International Management program at the ZHAW School of Management and Law presents interesting facts about the financial education of the young Swiss population on the TrueWealth online portal.

"Interestingly, men tend to overestimate their abilities, while women are more realistic. This is also reflected in their investment strategy. Men trade more often and tend to overestimate themselves, which leads to higher costs. Women, on the other hand, often have a steadier hand and therefore often achieve better results."

In a talk with Felix Niederer on the topic of "Financial education of the Swiss (youth)", Dr. Michael J. Kendzia, Head of the BSc International Management course at the ZHAW School of Management and Law, discusses the state of financial literacy among the younger part of the population – and presents some alarming and some encouraging facts. In the interview, you can read and see what knowledge and behavior in relation to financial products and assets have to do with gender and which questions on the subject give young people a headache.
