What does the Corona crisis mean for insurers?

The spread of the coronavirus is also of concern to insurers. We draw a mood picture of the current situation among health insurers, reinsurers and direct insurers and shed light on the insurability of the pandemic risk.

Discussion

  • What challenges did insurers face at the beginning of the crisis?
  • What are the biggest concerns?
  • What lasting changes will the crisis trigger in the insurance sector?
  • Why are pandemics difficult to insure?

The aim of this series of surveys is to provide information to help cope with the situation.
