Forms of Cooperation

A unique combination of knowledge and skills for national and international projects. These are the benefits of working together with ZHAW.

Collaboration

We research for your benefit

We use our highly developed methodological skills, cutting-edge technology and comprehensively joined-up approaches to work on real-life and relevant issues in the sciences and social sciences. Our wide range of services – from short-term consultancy through to project support over many years – means that we can always find a viable solution to meet your needs.

A professional partner for your project

We take a proactive, solution-focused and deadline-oriented approach to project implementation, and we cover the entire value creation chain from analysis through to market readiness (either in-house or in cooperation with external research partners). You can benefit from our many years of experience and the strong network we have built up, and our researchers will be happy to provide support and advice on joint project funding applications.

Comprehensive infrastructure

We offer our partners not only expert knowledge but also extensive infrastructure, from lab space which meets a wide variety of safety standards and state-of-the-art technological facilities through to horticultural complexes and greenhouses. Access to our Baking Technology Centre, Brewing and Filling Plant and a wide variety of biotechnology and chemical technology facilities as well as our vineyard on the Au peninsula and a satellite campus in Wergenstein (Graubünden) means that we can be by your side both geographically and in terms of specialism.

Cooperation

If you are interested in working together with ZHAW, please contact the Technology Transfer Office or the relevant institute in the first instance so that the topic and nature of the project can be discussed together. Further information on the various forms of cooperation available (to suit different objectives, deadlines and budgets) and on funding, contracts and commercial licensing can be found in the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Guidelines.

Networks

Research network

Cooperation with teaching and research institutions both in Switzerland and abroad is one of our core competencies. Our very location in Wädenswil means that we count Agroscope, the Swiss centre of excellence for agricultural research, among our neighbours, and we maintain frequent contact and close cooperation with other universities and agencies in the rest of Switzerland and beyond, with a focus on institutions in European countries. We work with partners outside the EU/EFTA on a topic-specific basis.
