Off-the-shelf upgrade to improve drug screening throughput by a factor 30

NexMR can achieve high throughput screening by boosting the NMR sensitivity using in situ sample irradiation. This is currently achieved through an optic fiber which needs to be manually exchanged for each sample (every minute), or using a flowthrough system designed by NexMR. The latter approach is incompatible with many of the challenging targets that NexMR plans to address (aggregated systems, cellular systems. ). To improve the platform capacity, we will design an illuminated NMR cryoprobe compatible with an autosampler of type SampleJet (Bruker). This configuration will enable to perform screening in tubes at high throughput on any commercially available platform. The light illumination will be achieved by modifying the NMR cryoprobe while preserving its integrity. Doing so will enable to upgrade of the existing instruments without replacing any piece of hardware.
