Swiss Green & Sustainable Chemistry Award 2024

This year’s award by the Swiss Chemical Society goes to Rebecca Buller for making enzyme catalysis easily and widely accessible for industrial use and an indispensable asset in moving toward a sustainable chemical industry in Switzerland and beyond.

The Green & Sustainable Chemistry Award of the Swiss Chemical Society is awarded since 2020. The prize recognizes young investigators from academia which contribute to the development of sustainable chemical technologies and methodologies and have made outstanding scientific discoveries in the field of Green and Sustainable Chemistry. The prize was implemented with Syngenta Crop Protection AG as a founding partner and SusChem Switzerland as the hosting institution.

Rebecca receives the prize for «her extraordinary achievements in making state of the art enzyme catalysis easily and widely accessible for industrial use, that have become indispensable assets in moving toward a sustainable chemical industry in Switzerland and beyond».

The award lecture will take place at the SCS Spring Meeting 2024 in Basel on June 7, 2024.
