Relationships between 3D topology and reaction kinetics in mixed conducting electrodes for solid oxide fuel cells
Beschreibung
In this project we investigate on a fundamental level the microstructure influence on the electrochemical kinetics of solid oxide fuel cell electrodes (SOFC). So far the possibilities which arise from a combination of multi-physical modeling with quantitative microstructure analysis have only been exploited to a limitedextent in SOFC research. In a multidisciplinary approach involving ceramics processing, experimental electrochemistry, 3D-microstructure analysis and various modeling techniques we are able to describe on a quantitative level the effects of microsltructure/topological parameters on the electrode activity.
