Primate 1 : Fox 0 - a parasite-based cell-free screening system for the early diagnosis of fox tapeworm infections in humans and other great apes

The aim of this project is to improve the early diagnosis of alveolar echinococcosis, a severe parasitic disease in humans and other primates. In this project, innovative methods for the screening of novel diagnostic markers will be explored. The prospective results will improve the diagnosis in humans and great apes, which is especially important for wild-life conservation.
