„Biomedical Diagnostics – Automatic Detection of Lymphedema“
u-blox blog post about ZHAW bachelor's thesis
The two ZHAW electrical engineering students Manuel Haag and Matthias Ludwig miniaturized and optimized a device for testing lymphatic function in their bachelor's thesis "Biomedical Diagnostics - Automatic Detection of Lymphedema" in spring 2019.
The result is a small, wearable device that resembles a smartwatch and can be used in further tests. The prototype has a smartphone connection and utilizes an optical measurement method to detect the early stages of lymphedema development.
