Operations Research and Operations Management

Innovation and efficiency of business processes are key success factors for today's companies. Strategic and operational decisions are increasingly complex, and ever-larger volumes of data can be used to create value through the use of suitable digital methods.

The Operations Research and Operations Management group supports its customers with a wide range of methods in systematically analyzing, designing and optimizing their production and service processes.

Besides the use of qualitative methods and operational business know-how, we are specialized in the development and application of sophisticated mathematical models and quantitative algorithms. Particular emphasis is placed on the integration of state-of-the-art concepts from the areas of machine-based optimization, data-driven planning and real-time control as well as Industry 4.0.

Our practice-oriented project activity in industry and business is based on intensive applied research and development, and is complemented by a broad range of academic teaching with emphasis on industrial and business engineering.
