Detailed admission requirements for students holding a bachelor's degree from a German or Austrian university/university of applied sciences.
Admission Requirements
- An excellent bachelor's degree in an engineering field, corresponding to Swiss grades A or B according to the ECTS grading scale (top 35%). See the ECTS grading scale for details.
- Diplomas and official transcripts from all attended universities (in English or German), including an overview of the university’s grading system and the final achieved grade.
- Resume/CV.
- Statement of purpose (maximum 500 words) focusing on your research interests and long-term goals. Please also indicate a preferred institute or center you would like to join. More information about the institutes and centers can be found on our website.
- Two letters of recommendation from professors or supervisors who can assess your technical knowledge.
- Proof of at least one year of relevant work experience in a closely related field (considered an advantage).
- A copy of your bachelor's thesis may be requested during the admission process.
