Information for Participants
Tuesday, 29. June 2021, 15:50 - 17:30
To participate in our opening event you will need:
- A desktop computer or laptop with a webcam and audio input
- An up-to-date browser, we recommend using Google Chrome
- Headphones/headset recommended
- No installation or setup required
- The mobile/tablet experience is limited to exploring the space with your avatar and only outputting your audio but not video. You will still be able to see videos from others, but they will not be able to see you.
How our Meetingland works:
- Meetingland is based on the Gather technology. This means you can freely choose your avatar and explore the space on your own. Meet colleagues and just have small talk!
- Navigate with your cursor on your keyboard like in a computer game. Talk to people nearby or to people in the same private room.
- Private spaces are areas in the venue (tables with seats) where everyone inside (at the table) can see each other. Only other users in the same private space can see or hear you.
- As soon as other participants are nearby, you will see their webcam video and a conversation window will open for individual chats or conversations in groups.
To get used to Meetingland we recommend joining at 15:45. At 16:00 you can start the live stream by pressing x (see the picture on the right) or by pressing Livestream in the right corner.
In case of major technical problems or if you can’t enter the map, please contact our technical support Anna from Meetingland. You can call, text, send a whatsapp message or an email to
